West Virginia State Park Online Reservation Policies
West Virginia State Parks are accessible to all visitors. If you have a special need, please contact us at 1-800-CALL-WVA and ask for the park directly.
All reservations must be made by and for individuals 18 years of age or older. Proof of identity by picture ID will be required at time of check-in.
- There may be other rooms, cabins or cottages available than those appearing on this reservation site. If you would like to check for other availability, please contact the park directly.
- The park reserves the right to reject any reservation due to previous misconduct (not complying with rules and regulations or destroying park property) at any West Virginia State Park.
- At their discretion, the Park Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent may evict any person or group of persons for not following rules or regulations.
- You are responsible for any damages to the lodge room or cabin you occupy. Damage discovered after your departure will be billed.
- ALL RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
- Major credit cards are accepted (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diner's Club).
- No personal bedding is allowed in lodge rooms, cabins or cottages.
- Specific room and cabin assignments cannot be guaranteed online.
Cabins and Cottages
- At most areas, only weekly cabin/cottage reservations are taken from the second Monday in June. All summer cabin/cottage reservations must be for 7 days arriving on Monday. Cabin/cottage reservation must be made at least 3 days in advance. If you attempt to make a reservation for other than 7 days or arriving on any day but Monday, your reservation will be rejected.
- A deposit of one-half your cabin/cottage fee is required when making an online reservation. The balance is due upon arrival.
- Check-in for cabins/cottages is 4:00 pm.
- Check-out for cabins/cottages is 10:00 am. This may vary from park to park, please refer to the park website or confirmation information.
- You may request one additional cot per bedroom in a cabin/cottage. The cost is $10.00 per cot per night payable upon arrival. Please put this information in the Special Instructions and Assistance block on the page with your name and address. Cots ordered after arrival will be charged $10.00 per cot per night plus an additional handling fee of $20.00. Cots are only available in cabins.
- At this time, reservations may be made up to one year in advance from the first day of the month.
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations may not be made online, rather they must be made by contacting the park directly either by telephone or letter. In case of cancellations, deposits will be refunded with the exception of a handling fee, if notice is given 30 days in advance for cabins/cottages.
Lodge Room Reservations
- A deposit of the first night rental is required for lodge room reservations. The balance of the reservation is due upon arrival.
- Check-in for lodge rooms is 4:00 pm at Tygart Lake, North Bend, and Pipestem.
3:00 pm check-in time at Cacapon Resort, Chief Logan Lodge, Blackwater Falls, Hawks Nest, and Twin Falls.
Check-out for lodge rooms is generally at noon, some areas may be 11 a.m.
- No cots are permitted in lodge rooms.
- Rooms are held until 6 p.m.
- Online reservations for lodge rooms are not accepted on the same day of arrival.
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations may not be made online, rather they must be made by contacting the park directly either by telephone or letter. In case of cancellations, deposits will be refunded if notice is given 48 hours in advance for lodge rooms.
Miscellaneous
- If you are experiencing difficulty with your reservation, contact the park directly by calling 1-800-CALL-WVA and asking for the park or call the park directly. Refer to http://www.wvstateparks.com/lodging/lodge.htm for direct call phone numbers.
- Senior citizens may qualify for a senior citizen discount of 10% off the rental rate if they are 60 years of age or older. The senior discount will be applied after arrival and upon proof of age.
Pets
Pets are permitted in designated cabin and cottage units. Go to http://www.wvstateparks.com/petpolicy.htm for information regarding reservations with pets in cabins.
Pets are not permitted in lodge rooms.
Pets are permitted in campgrounds. A leash law is in effect throughout the park grounds.
