GIFT CARD PROMOTION

The “Something Extra” cards will be part of this year’s holiday gift card sales promotion. “We’ve had people calling to ask if there is something extra with gift card purchases this year,”  says Carol Stewart.  “And the answer is, yes, there is.

With each $100 purchase there will be eight “extras” included.  “So if you purchase $225 there will be two sets of the extra cards and so on.”  The “extras” are part of the annual gift card promotion and are only included with gift  cards purchased online or via telephone order to the central parks office.

This promotion begins November 1 and concludes December 15, 2011.  The “extras” are automatically  included with single purchases of WV State Park Gift Card values of $100 or greater.  The cutoff date of December 15, 2011, allows time for USPS delivery of orders.  Orders taken after December 15 are not guaranteed by Christmas.  There are no shipping or packaging costs charged for gift card orders.  Special shipping requests will incur shipping costs, so place orders by December 15 and avoid any extra costs.

“Each purchase regardless of amount will receive a state park zipper pull as our thank you to the caller or online purchaser for including WV state parks in your holiday plans and memories.  We appreciate your business and your support of WV State Parks and Forest with your visits, hikes, reunions and gatherings.” 

This year’s “Something Extras” include:

  • a one-day outdoor swimming pool pass at one of these state parks: Cacapon, Lost River, North Bend, Pipestem, Tomlinson Run, Twin Falls or Watoga;
  • buy one Island Belle sternwheeler ride and second person rides free to Blennerhassett Island;
  • $5 off standard train fare at Cass Scenic Railroad;
  • a second night free during select dates at Cacapon and Twin Falls resorts, and Hawks Nest;
  • Aerial Tram Ride at Pipestem or Hawks Nest state parks;
  • an 18-hole round of golf at Twin Falls, Cacapon, or Pipestem resorts January – September, 2012;
  • $5 off advance campsite reservations at Blackwater Falls, Bluestone, North Bend, Pipestem, Twin Falls or Tygart Lake state parks; and,
