West Virginia State Parks offer a full range of recreational, educational and nature-based programs held throughout the year. There are planned activities including wildflower walks, dinner theaters, amphitheater performances, and re-enactments to mention a few.
Many of these programs are special events and include an overnight package option and listed in the Calendar of Events.
In addition to events and activities, you are invited to enroll in statewide programs designed for individual, group or family participation. There is no competition and enrollment is for the sheer enjoyment of being outdoors or making a difference by your involvement in state parks and forest preservation, operation and visitation.
Whether you’re an area resident, a first time or regular visitor to West Virginia, or coming back to home, you’re always welcome at your West Virginia State Parks and Forests.
